5 direktor nagsanib-pwersa sa 1st Globe Indie Film Festival

 

NAGSANIB-PWERSA ang limang magagaling na direktor para sa kauna-unahang Globe Independent Film Festival (GIFF) kung saan bibida ang mga sikat at mainstream actors ng local showbiz.

Sa isang bonggang media launch kamakailan na ginanap sa Globe Iconic Store sa The Fort, hosted by Epy Quizon, excited na in-announce ng mga taong bumubuo sa GIFF ang mga dapat abangan ng mga Pinoy na mahihilig sa pelikula, pati na rin ng mga nangangarap maging filmmaker.

Ang GIFF ay ang first ever online film festival sa bansa sa ilalim ng pamamahala ng Globe Studios under the supervision of known film director Quark Henares.

“Advocating Filipino talent and championing original content, Globe through its film productions arm Globe Studios launches the Globe Independent Film Festival or GIFF. The first ever online film festival in the country, GIFF sets the bar for filmfest by maximizing the online platform to reach a wider device,” sey ni direk Quark.

Bukas ang GIFF sa lahat ng amateur filmmakers, at maaaring mag-submit ng entry for any of these five genres: Narrative, Documentary, Animated, Experimental, Music Video and Webisode. The film entries will be evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges from the entertainment industry – sina Antoinette Jadaone, Bianca Gonzales, film critic Philbert Dy and TV commercial director Sid Maderazo.

“The launch of Globe Studios gave us a whole new way of bringing wonderful entertainment to our customers. With GFF, our vision for Globe Studios is realized, to be able to advocate local talent and eventually collaborate with them for content.

“GIFF allows us to fuel creativity among filmmakers and we look forward to the entries and bring these amazing films closer to every Filipino,” ayon kay Globe Senior Advisor for Consumer Business, Dan Horan.

Mapapanood ng netizens ang shortlisted films sa GlobeStudios.ph, Globe Studios YouTube channel, sa Globe ICONIC store, ay sa select cinema screenings. Ang mga magwawagi sa bawat kategorua ay mananalo ng sorpresang papremyo na aabot sa P200,000 and will be announced at GIFF’s culminating event in November.

Para sa mga interesadong sumali, bisitahin lang ang www.GlobeStudios.ph. At bilang unang pasabog ng GIFF, limang short films mula sa limang mahuhusay na direktor nga ang mapapanood ng mga netizen sa GlobeStudios.ph at Globe YouTube channel.

Ito ay ang “How To Find Love” ni direk Quark Henares, “An Open Door” ni Paul Soriano, “Trapik” by Dan Villegas, “Ang Painting Ni tatay” ni Sigrid Andrea Bernardo, at “Bestfriend” ni Bb. Joyce Bernal.

Bukod dito, magkakaroon din ng local and regional “Globe 5-Minute Video Challenge”. Mag-submit lang kayo ng 5-minute entries based on the theme “Connecting Lives”. Entries will be judged on criteria such as originality of content, storytelling and cinematography. Top two videos from the Philippines will win P350,000 each and will automatically qualify for the regional level.

Ang grand finals para sa challenge na ito ay gaganapin sa Bangkok, Thailand sa Nov. 21, 2016 with cash prizes of US$30,000 and US$15,000 to be awarded to the grand winner and runner-up respectively. For inquiries, log-on lang kayo sa visitwww.the5minutevideo.com.
