B-day wishni Mother Lily: Tuluy-tuloy lang tayong mag-okrayan at magloka-lokahan!
UMIRAL ang pagiging generous ni Mother Lily Monteverde sa 77th birthday celebration niya last Friday sa kanyang 38 Valencia Events Place.
Nag-donate siya ng P1M sa Mowelfund at P100,000 each sa grupong Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC), Entertainment Press Society (ENPRES) at Society of Entertainment Editors of the Philippines (SPEED) na ginawaran siya ng special award dahil sa tulong at suporta sa kanya at sa Regal Films ng entertainment industry.
Sa bahagi ng speech ni Mother, “Ang gusto ko lang malaman ninyo, Mother Lily has not forgotten and will never forget all the help you have given me and Regal Films. “I owe a big part of who and what I am now as a film producer to all of you. Kung wala kayo, wala rin si Mother Lily at Regal. That’s why I dedicate this party to you.
“”Sana magkasama-sama pa tayo ng another 77 years magloka-lokahan, chika-chikahan at okray-okrayan. As I always say, I may not be a taipan, but I am definitely rich in terms of friends from in and out of show business!”
“Through the years our relationship may be compared to Romeo and Juliet. Other times naman parang si Tom Cruise, Mission Impossible. What I’m trying to say is hindi laging smooth ang pinagdadaanan ni Mother Lily as a producer trying to keep up with the times, but you my friends from the media have always stood by me through thick and thin,” sey ni Mother.
Sa totoo lang, umaapaw din ng food and drinks sa party ni Mother. Halos hindi na nga magkasya ang dumating na bisita upang bumati sa Regal matriarch. Present ang mga bosses ng GMA Network at ABS CBN. Dumalo rin ang classmates niya sa St. Scholastica’s College, pa-milya at mga artista.
Kinanta ni Janella Salvador ang favorite song ni Mother na “Que Sera Sera.” Umawit din ang bagong Regal baby na si Derrick Monasterio, ang choir na Koro Tomasino, ang ko-medyanteng si Atak, ang Regal babies na sina Fiona at Cherisse Deslippe, Laarni Lozada ng Pinoy Dream Academy at tumugtog naman ang favorite pianist niyang si Raul Sunico.
Bumati rin kay Mother si Sen. Dick Gordon, mag-asawang Eddie Gutierrez at Annabelle Rama, Donna Villa at Carlo J. Caparas, Billy Crawford, Sam Milby, Derek Ramsay, ilan sa ALV Talent Circuit, directors Joel Lamangan, Chito Rono, Joey Reyes, Mel Chionglo, Mac Alejandre at marami pang iba.
Nagsilbi namang host si Ai Ai delas Alas na nakibeso at nakichika rin kay ABS-CBN President Leo Katigbak.
Nagpaabot naman ng video message sina Kris Aquino, Piolo Pascual, Yen Santos, Raiko Mateo, Dennis Trillo, Jennylyn Mercado, Allan K, Joey de Leon, Pauleen Luna, Ogie Alcasid, Heart Evangelista, Ryan A-goncillo, Alden Richards, John Prats, Isabel Oli, pamilya at mga apo.
Larawan ng kasiyahan si Mother sa 77th birthday niya na walang kapaguran sa pag-iistima ng mga bisita, picture taking at take note, sa pagsasayaw rin, huh! Sa halip na umuwi na dahil pagod at madaling-araw na, hinintay muna ni Mother na malinis ang lahat bago siya umuwi ng maligayang-maligaya!
