Bong Revilla pinayagang bumoto sa Bacoor

Pinayagan ng Sandiganbayan First Division si Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla na makaboto sa Lunes.
Sa dalawang pahinang desisyon, sinabi ng korte na maaaring umalis si Revilla sa kanyang kulungan sa Philippine National Police Custodial Center sa Camp Crame, Quezon City alas-6 ng umaga.
“He shall be transported therefrom directly to his voting precinct in Bacoor, Cavite, and to no other place, where he will cast his vote,” saad ng desisyon. “And shall be transported back to his detention cell at Camp Crame immediately after completing the process all without fanfare or caravan.”
Inatasan ng korte ang PNP na magbigay ng seguridad kay Revilla at ipinaalala na pinagbabawalan ang senador na gumamit ng anumang communication device at makapanayam ng media.
“All expenses to be incurred in connection therewith shall be shouldered and paid by the accused.”
Naghain ng mosyon si Revilla noong Abril 21 upang siya ay makaboto sa Bacoor dahil walang special polling precinct ang Commission on Elections sa PNP Custodial Center. Hinarang naman ito ng prosekusyon.
Binigyan naman ng bigat ng Sandiganbayan ang naging desisyon ng Korte Suprema na pumayag na makaboto si dating Pangulo at ngayon ay Pampanga Rep. Gloria Arroyo sa Lubao.
“Although the said grant was expressly made pro has vice, and therefore cannot be relied upon as a precedent to govern other cases, and that accused Arroyo is herself a candidate whereas accused Revilla is not, this Court is nonetheless inclined to grant the motion.”
