Poe di makadadalo sa MMFF probe

Hindi makadadalo sa pagdinig ng House committee on Metro Manila Development si Sen. Grace Poe kaugnay ng kontrobersya ng katatapos ng Metro Manila Film Festival.
Ayon sa chairman ng komite na si Quezon City Rep. Winston Castelo na wala pa ring kumpirmasyon kung dadalo ang aktor na si John Lloyd Cruz na bida at co-executive producer ng pelikulang Honor Thy Father.
“The hearing will push through as scheduled. Senator Poe has sent word that she cannot attend while actor John Lloyd has yet to confirm his attendance,” ani Castelo.
Inimbitahan si Poe dahil siya ay miyembro ng executive committee ng MMFF.
Nagpasabi naman na dadalo ang kilalang Filipino film producer na si Mother Lily Monteverde at Marichu Maceda, Film Academy of the Philippines President Leo Martinez, Metro Manila Development Authority chairman at MMFF Executive Committee overall chairman Atty. Emmerson Carlos, mga miyembro ng MMFF Board, Actors Guild President Rez Cortes, at producer ng of My Pebebe Love, Beauty and Bestie at Nilalang.
Ang pagdinig ay bunsod ng umano’y ticket swapping sa mga sinehan at ang pagtanggal sa sinehan ng mga pelikula na hindi pinapasok ng mga manonood.
Diringin din ang isyu ng pagkadiskuwalipika ng Honor Thy Father sa kategoryang best picture. Si Laguna Rep. Dan Fernandez ang naghain ng House Resolution 2581 para makapag-imbestiga ang komite.
“The intention is to strengthen the industry, make it more viable, and evolve it to become responsive for education and entertainment,” ani Castelo.
