Biyenan ni Chiz suportado ang kandidatura ni Miriam sa 2016
INIHAYAG ng biyenan ni Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero na susuportahan niya ang kandidatura ni Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago, na tumatakbo sa pagkapangulo sa 2016.
Humarap si Cecille Ongpauco, nanay ng aktres na si Heart Evangelista sa isinagawang forum ni Santiago sa Bahay ng Alumni sa UP Diliman, Quezon City, kung saan pormal siyang nagdeklara ng kanyang kandidatura sa susunod na eleksyon.
Dumalo rin si Ongpauco nang iproklama si Escudero ni Sen. Grace Poe bilang kanyang ka-tandem sa 2016 elections.
“I’m here to support the candidate who’s running for the highest position… in the Philippines, Senator Miriam Santiago,” sabi ni Ongpauco.
Nagsimula ang forum ng alas-4 ng hapon, bagamat nakatakdang dumating si Santiago ng alas-6 ng gabi.
“I believe Senator Miriam is the most qualified candidate who can improve and effect positive change for the betterment of the country. She’s the most qualified that’s why I’m here,” dagdag ni Ongpauco.
Aniya, malapit silang magkaibigan ni Santiago.
“She’s like my mentor, my hero. We’ve been close for many, many years,” ayon pa kay Ongpauco.
