ATE VI inggit sa mga award ni NORA?

Hindi pa rin matanggap na ‘anino’ lang siya ng Superstar

There are rumors floating that Vilma Santos will be making a movie na isasali raw sa Cannes Film Festival. Obviously, kung totoo ito, naiinggit lang ang beauty niya kay Nora Aunor.

Ate Guy’s acting has long been Cannes-worthy. Actually, decades ago pa. Now, she’s Venice-worthy at pinuri-puri pa nga sa katatapos na Venice Film Festival.

She was even honored with a Best Actress award from an Italian critic group.
Si Vilma ay creation lang ni Nora.

She was just the imperfect foil to Nora’s achievement. She was always the second lead, the shadow of the Superstar. Kung sinasabi ng fans niya na marami siyang noteworthy films like “Sister Stella L”, “Tagos Ng Dugo”, “Relasyon”, “The Dolzura Cortez Story”, “Anak”, “Broken Marriage”, lahat ‘yan ay isang “Himala” lang ang katapat. Nora’s “Himala” was cited by  CNN as one of the “10 Best Asian Films” of all time and her film “Bona” was honored as one of “The Best 100 Films in the World” by the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, USA.

Vilmanians must admit the fact that their idol’s acting is not as world-renowned as that of Nora’s.

Limitado lang ito sa Pilipinas, unlike Nora who’s known far and wide as the best actress of her country even abroad.

And she was also hailed as one of Asia’s top 10 Best Actresses of the Decade during the Green Planet Movie Awards in Hollywood (2010).
