Kalat na: Cesar lumayas agad sa tourism event para lang manood ng musical play

CESAR MONTANO

HOT seat na naman si Cesar Montano, ang Chief Operating Officer ng Tourism Promotions Board dahil sa umano’y pag-alis niya sa isang tourism event sa New York City para manood ng musical play na “Hamilton.”

Lumabas ang paglayas ni Montano sa online news ng politiko.com galing sa isang source sa ginanap na Philippine Tourism Presentation and Dinner Reception nu’ng May 9.

Dalawang minuto lang daw nagsalita si Cesar sa Grand Ballroom ng Roosevelt Hotel sa NY.

Ngayong nag-resign na ang dating pinuno ng Department of Tourism na si Wanda Teo, at pinalitan ng ngayong DOT Secretary, si Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, natanong siya tungkol dito sa interview niya sa ANC News Channel.

“I have to ask Cesar Montano himself if it’s true that he spoke only for two minutes at an event where he was the keynote speaker because he had to rush to watch ‘Hamilton.’

“Cesar Montano is in holdover capacity already, I just want to uphold he law,” pahayag ni Sec. Puyat.

Nitong nakaraang mga buwan, inilunsad ni Cesar ang promotions ng local tourism sa local movies kung saan nagbigay pa siya ng parangal sa ilang pelikula. Sa nasabing launch, ipinalabas niya ang teaser ng ginawang movie sponsored ng DOT, ang “Sultan Kudarat.”

Ngayong wala na sa puwesto si Teo, magagawa pa ba ito ngayong iba na ang Tourism Secretary? As of this writing, wala pang paliwanag si Cesar sa isyung kinasasangkutan niya. Bukas ang pahinang ito para sa kanyang paliwanag.
