SINABI ng Department of Justice (DOJ) na wala itong nakitang ebidensiya na napunta sa bulsa ng ilang kongresista at maging ni Justice Secretary Leila De Lima ang suhol mula sa Chinese fugitive na si Wang Bo.
Sa isang sulat kay Congressman Oscar Rodriguez, chair ng House good government and public accountability committee, iniulat ni De Lima ang bahagi ng resulta ng imbestigasyon ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) noong Hulyo 13.
Ayon sa NBI, wala itong katibayan na nakuha para patunayan na nakatanggap sina Bureau of Immigration (BI) associate commissioner Abdullah Mangotara at Gilberto Repizo ng suhol mula kay Wang Bo para siya palayain mula sa pagkakakulong sa harap naman ng deportation order mula sa Chinese embassy dahil sa illegal online transnational gambling.
“The team did not find any direct or indirect pieces of evidence pointing to the pay offs between the party of Bo Wang and any official/employee of the Bureau of Immigration,” sabi ng bahagi ng ulat.
Idinagdag ng NBI na wala rin itong pruweba na nagbigay si Wang Bo ng suhol sa mga mambabatas para matiyak ang pagpasa sa Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL).
“Neither did the team find any evidence to substantiate the allegations that Bo Wang financed the passage of the Bangsamoro Basic Law in the House of Representatives; nor was there any lead found to suggest the monetary contribution from the camp of Bo Wang favoring the Liberal Party or any political party for that matter,” ayon pa sa ulat.
