Lea Salonga found herself defending her “case to case basis” explanation kung bakit nagli-lip sync ang isang singer.
Tila marami ang humusga sa kanya, nam-bash kaya naman todo-explain siya sa kanyang Twitter account. “Heto na naman. Ang sabi ko, CASE TO CASE.
There are times na kelangang mag-lip sync. Sports events, shows where background noise is loud.
“However, pag hindi naman kelangan, puwede ba?! Real singers under normal circumstances should not lip sync.
Listen muna before judging,” say ng international singer. “In the last 25 years, I can count maybe 2-3 times when I’ve had to lip sync, no choice.
The rest, totoong boses ko na live. Like on ASAP. “In a concert with a live band and orchestra, your voice had better show up (which is what I told @mjfelipe). Small band, you’d better sing.
“But when your magic carpet is placed on a fork lift truck, or you’re rising on a windy tower, what choice do you have? Aber, sige nga!” dagdag pa niya.
“Ang problema kasi, minsan, ang daming mapanghusga. But all I said was case to case. Please hear the whole case before passing judgment,” may katarayang pagtatapos ni Lea.
Meanwhile, talagang hindi pa rin matapos-tapos ang social media aria ni Rhap Salazar wherein he said na he hates people who lip-sync.
Halos lahat ay gusting marinig ang stand ng mga legitimate singers like Lea. Our take? Well, ang labanan ngayon ay pasikatan. Hindi na uso ang magaling kang singer.
All you need to do is to beef up interest in you. Dapat meron ka ring malaking following. You cannot compete with the likes of Daniel Padilla, James Reid, Nadine Lustre or Kathryn Bernardo because they’re the hottest now. Hindi nila kasalanang sikat sila.
