MAKULIT, mapilit at kung minsan ay napakadaldal. Ganyan kadalasan ang mga nanay.
May mga pagkakataon ding nakakawala sila ng pasensiya. Pero dahil sa pangungulit, pamimilit, at pagdaldal ng ating mga ina, napapaalala nilang may nagmamahal sa atin.
Kaya naman ngayong Mother’s Day, ibinahagi ng ilang Kapuso artists ang kanilang paraan para ipakita sa kanilang mga ina kung gaano sila kaimportante sa kanila..
“Kung dati ako ang ini-i-spoil, ngayon ako naman, ‘Ma, let me spoil you.’ Yung mom ko, in my own little ways, siguro napapasaya ko siya and aminado naman siya at the end of the day nagpapasalamat siya sakin. Mga simpleng pagpunta sa salon, pag-treat ko sa kanya sa movie, ganu’n yung simple things na sobrang naaappreciate niya.”
Rocco Nacino: “I just make sure na lagi ko siyang nakakausap at nakakamusta. Magreretire na kasi siya so tinutulu-ngan ko siya sa mga future endeavours niya.”
BENJAMIN ALVES
Benjamin Alves: Everyday, I think. Nothing extravagant but I cook for my mom when she’s here. I make sure she takes her meds. Small things lang.”
Chynna Ortaleza: “I’m there for her. Kumbaga parang hindi ko ipagpapalit yung nanay ko kahit kanino. Saka kapag kailangan niya ko, yung mga, ‘Ma, pag-drive kita!’, ‘Ma, alis tayo!’, ‘Ma, usap tayo over breakfast!’ Mga ganu’n. Alam niyang hindi ko siya iiwan sa ere at hindi ko siya hindi papakinggan.”
Ruru Madrid: “I always make her feel special, even without occasion, I bring her flowers, and lagi ko sinusunod mga payo niya for me. Dun ko mas napaparamdam na she is so special to me.”
TJ Trinidad: “I guess the best thing to do is to just thank them and remind them that they did a good job. Thank them for helping me make the man that I am now. That’s a very good thing to say, and not just say it but mean it.”
Dominic Zapata: “We’re not ma-I love you sa bahay. We just hug a lot. And she knows. We just know because I stay there. I stay with them. I don’t move out. I’d rather be there making sure that everyone’s alright, my mom and dad. And if they need anything I’m there.
“And that I’m gonna go home there at night, and to make sure that everyone’s okay not lang health-wise, just everyone is happy. There’s three of us, pero I would like to think that in every family, there’s a glue. Someone that’s holding everyone together. Hindi naman sa inaassume ko na ako yun, no? Pero, ako na lang. I’ll try my best na lang.”
Pauleen Luna: “We’re not the sweetest mother-daughter tandem. But I’m sure those few times that I say I love you, I miss you, I’m sure she appreciates that.”
Mark Reyes: “By spoiling her every chance I get. And never forgetting to give her flowers on Mother’s Day.”
