“This would be the first and last time that I will talk about this kasi noong Sunday pa po ito and we have all moved on from it. Tapos na po ang coronation night and we have declared the winners so there’s no point of looking back and talking about it over and over again.”
That was Toni Gonzaga’s opening lines sa isyung inokray niya ang mga finalists sa Bb. Pilipinas nang mag-host siya for the first time.
“Siguro ang sa akin lang po, first of all I wanna say thank very much to the committee of the Bb. Pilipinas for the opportunity to host such a wonderful event kasi first time ko ma-experience ‘yung ganoong kasayang crowd, ganoong ka-wild na audience and it was definitely a memorable experience for me,” dagdag pa niya.
Later on, nag-apologize na siya and said, “To those who were not pleased and to those na…siyempre nagkaroon po ng parang national debate kung nagustuhan po ba nila o hindi nagustuhan ang napanood nila, siyempre po doon po muna sa hindi natuwa at hindi naibigan ang napanood nila noong Sunday, I am humbly asking for apology kung I have offended or I have maligned or I have hurt anyone of you.”
Say pa ng Multimedia Star sa presscon ng “You’re My Boss” na pinagbibidahan nila ni Coco Martin, wala naman siyang intensyong mambastos.
“It was never my intention because prior to the show I was instructed po to make the show fun, light and ease the tension especially during the Q and A portion.
It was never my intention (na mambastos). Again, it was instructed for me to host that way, to make it lively and fun, Of course in the spirit of the celebration ng Bb. Pilipinas coronation night. ‘Yun po siguro ang stand ko doon.”
Nagpasalamat din siya sa kanyang defenders, “And to everybody naman po, siyempre I don’t want to miss this opportunity to thank everyone, ‘yung mga friends ko po from the press, my fans in the industry who have been saying a lot of (good things), who are defending me and nagsasalita po ng good and kind words sa akin, maraming-maraming salamat po.
I really appreciate that from the bottom of my heart. “And also I would like to thank the Bb. Pilipinas committee for commending the job I did last Sunday.
Maganda po ‘yung sinabi nila sa akin, they texted me very nice and encouraging words and I’m very thankful for that.”
Sa pagtatapos ng kanyang maikling paliwanag, nag-ala beauty queen si Toni when she said, “And in the spirit na rin po of beauty pageants, let’s end this issue with world peace.”
