What is happening to Manny Pacquiao?

Let’s be very clear about this: supporter kami ng Pambansang Kamao. Our family watches all his fights on TV and some of our siblings, nagbabayad pa doon sa mga no-commercial screening. Kami personally, wait kami palagi kapag Pasko as Pacquiao is one of the biggest financial supporters of the press Christmas parties given by the GMA corporate communication at kung hindi kami nagkakamali, twice kaming nanalo sa mga pinamimigay niyang cash prizes.

Now that he wants to be a basketball coach sa PBA, who are we to argue. The PBA has approved this and so support na lang nang support. Sabi niya nga, ang next boxing training niya, sa Pilipinas lang gagawin dahil correct me if we’re wrong, balik Macau ang next boxing match niya at hindi na sa US. And when the sports columnists suggest that he could coach and play – again we never heard him personally say he could play ha – and he agreed, quiet na lang din kami.

Of course we know he’s over 30s and mga sipsip na columnists lang ang nag-suggest nito. But then we’re watching National Geographic channel where Pacquiao has a new safety show. Sa teaser, he introduced himself as “I’m Manny Pac-K-Yow” and not his normal surname pronunciation as “Pack-kyaw”. American accent na rin ba ang Pambansang Kamao natin for him to change his surname’s pronunciation. Just asking kasi the rest of his introduction super Visayan accent pa, eh.
