Ito ang tinuran ni Rain or Shine head coach Joseller “Yeng” Guiao papasok sa laban kontra Talk ‘N Text sa Game One ng kanilang best-of-five semifinals series ng PLDT Home TVolution PBA Commissioner’s Cup mamayang alas-8 ng gabi sa Smart Aaneta Coliseum sa Cubao, Quezon City.

Dumaan sa overtime ang Elasto Painters bago naungusan ang Meralco Bolts, 97-96, sa sudden-death Game Three noong Sabado upang marating ang semis kontra sa Tropang Texters.

Ang Rain or Shine ay natalo sa Game One ng serye kontra Bolts, 94-91, subalit nakabawi sa Game Two, 102-93.

Hindi naman pinatagal ng Talk ‘N Text ang laban kontra crowd-favorite Barangay Ginebra San Miguel na dinurog nila, 97-84, para sa ikasampung sunod na panalo sa torneo. Winalis nila ang elims, 9-0.

Sa kabila ng pangyayaring wala pang talo ang Tropang Texters ay hindi naman naaandap si Guiao  na nagsabing, “We got to the semis in a different way  but what is really important is being consistent.”

Sa import matchup ay magtutunggali sina Devon Wayne Chism ng Rain or Shine at Richard Howell ng Talk ‘N Text.

Si Chism ay humusay nang husto matapos ang masinsinang usapan nila ni Guiao bago ang break ng liga noong Mahal na Araw. Sa kabilang dako, si Howell, isang matinding rebounder, ay nakabalik na sa injury at nagpakitang-gilas muli laban sa Gin Kings.

Si Chism ay susuportahan nina Gabe Norwood, Jeff Chan, Paul Lee, Beau Belga at Ryan Araña. Makakatunggali nila sina Jimmy Alapag, Jason Castro, Kelly Williams at Ranidel de Ocampo.

Ang Game Two ng serye ay gaganapin sa Cuneta Astrodome sa Pasay City sa Miyerkules sa ganap na alas-8 ng gabi.

Bukas, ang kabilang best-of-five semifinals series sa pagitan ng Air21 at San Mig Coffee ay magsisimula sa Mall of Asia  Arena sa Pasay City sa ganap na alas-8 ng gabi.
