Sa dami ng racket last Friday, hindi na namin nalaman na dumating pa rin pala sa pocket interview ng “Panday 2” ng GMA Films and Imus Films si Iza. Humabol siya as she has to finish her Eat Bulaga hosting job.
Very understandable, naintriga ang pagiging late niya sa presscon na nagtatampo raw siya sa pagpasok ni Marian sa “Panday 2” as Bong Revilla’s leading lady.
Flavio’s original leading lady sa first installment ng movie two years ago, alam ni Iza that her Maria Makiling role will take a back seat sa pagpasok ng character ni Marian.
From the start pa lang daw nang nabasa niya ang script, she knows this and still accepted the movie so alam niya ang pasok ng character ni Marian bilang leading lady ni Flavio for this second part.
At least Iza can take comfort to the fact that her character will be constant daw meaning kung magkakaroon ng part three ang “Panday”, pasok pa rin ang character niya.
Iza, Phillip Salvador and Rhian Ramos are from the original movie na transported sa second part whereas Marian’s character is new and introduced in this part two na also directed by Mac Alejandre.
Part ng MMFF 2011 ang “Panday 2” opening this Christmas.
