Sa Dubai dinala ni Richard Yap ang kanyang pamilya noong Christmas season. “We just want to bring the kids there. After na mag-show kami for Be Careful With My Heart ay nasabi ko na maganda naman na ulitin ang experience,” chika ni Richard sa amin during his thanksgiving party for the press recently.
Mananatiling busy si Richard dahil tuloy-tuloy ang soap nila ni Jodi Sta. Maria. Hindi na yata matutuloy ang movie version ng soap nila.
Maganda ang view ni Richard sa buhay kaya naman super blessed siya. He is not insecure of anyone in showbusiness and he explained why.
“I don’t expect anything, eh, kasi pumasok ako dito baguhan ako. I was given the right break siguro. Wala na akong hinahangad o hinihingi pa. Contented lang ako kung ano ang meron.
I think contentment is the key, eh. You have to be contended with what you have,” esplika niya. Who wouldn’t be contented when you have a soap that’s running for about a year na, when you have 21 endorsements, when you have kaliwa’t kanan na live shows and when you are RESPECTED in the industry.
Meanwhile, Sir Chief was also asked if he has plans in the future to enter politics. Sa sobrang kasikatan kasi niya, siguradong malaki ang possibility na manalo siya. May offer ba sa kanya na pasukin na rin ang politics?
“Well, not really, not formally. And wala sa plano ko pa ‘yan at saka hindi natin pinag-iisipan yan,” Richard said. “Hindi natin kasi masabi kung anong… what the future has in store. But for now, it’s not in my plans,” he added.
