PH athletes sasabak sa 7th ASEAN Para Games

PUSPUSAN ang paghahanda na ginagawa ng mga differently-abled athletes na sasabak sa aksyon sa 7th ASEAN Para Games sa Myanmar sa susunod na buwan.

May 58 atleta ang pinili para dalhin ang laban ng Pilipinas sa pito sa 12 sports na paglalabanan sa ASEAN Para Games na itinakda mula Enero 14.

Ang mga sports na lalaruan ng Pilipinas ay sa athletics, archery, chess, swimming, table tennis, powerlifting at wheechair basketball. Ang iba pang sports na gagawin na walang kinatawan ang Pilipinas ay sa boccia, football 5-a-side at 7-a-side, goalball at volleyball (sitting).

Hanap ng delegasyong pangungunahan ni Ral Rosario bilang chief of mission, na mahigitan ang 23 ginto, 23 pilak at 18 tansong medalya na ibinigay ng manlalarong isinabak noong 2011 sa Solo, Indonesia.

Mangunguna sa delegasyon ang mga subok ng sina Josephine Medina ng table tennis; Isidro Vildosola ng athletics, Arnel Aba at Daniel Damaso Jr. ng swimming, Sander Severino ng chess at Paralympian medalist Adeline Ancheta, Achelle Guion at Agustin Kitan.

Kasama rin ang 20 sports officials at si Philspada president Luis Jose Arellano ang itinalagang head delegation habang kasama rin si dating Philspada head Michael Barredo.
