Nang kumustahin ang relasyon ni Phil kay Angel sinabi niya na “The status is still the same. We’re happy at the moment.”
Si Phil ay nakapanayam sa launch ng Häagen-Dazs kung saan siya ang bagong endorser kasama ang model na si Georgina Wilson.
Inamin ni Phil na nag-date na sila ni Angel sa isang ice cream store. “I gave her a fondue set. Vanilla is my favorite, while Angel likes all the flavors. She’s more experimental than I am. I think we complement each other.”
Nang bisitahin ni Angel ang opisina ng Inquirer para sa kanyang bagong proyekto sa Star Cinema, kinumpirma niya na binigyan siya ni Phil ng Häagen-Dazs fondue. “But I had to pass it on to my dad. I’m on a diet.”
Todo-suporta rin si Angel nang mamatay ang nanay ni Phil. “I miss everything about my mother. I really feel sad…”
Kung ice cream si Angel, anong flavor siya?
“Angel would be everything,” ani Phil. “She’s very beautiful. She’s kind. Very human and accommodating. She’s one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met.”
Naging mailap din siya sa pagiging co-star ni Angel. “My role right now is to represent the country well in the sport that I love.”
Pumayag lamang umano siya sa pelikula ni Jim Libiran na “Happyland” dahil “it promotes football. It showed the benefits of football and how it can change the lives of street children.”
Itinayo rin niya ang Phil Younghusband Football Academy upang mapasikat ang football sa bansa. “Our goal is to raise awareness and promote interest in football. We want to share with kids the discipline and values they can derive in team sports. After all, kids are the future of the sport.”
Bagamat mayroong mga mainstream studios na nag-aalok ng pelikula sa Azkals, naging mariin ang sagot ni Phil.
“Football is my priority. If the movie promotes my ideals and goals, then I’ll do it. But if it has nothing to do with football, then I won’t. I don’t want to embarrass myself by heading toward a totally different direction.”
Pelikula kasama si Angel?
“No love stories, unless it’s about football,” ani Phil.
Wala na ring take two ng “Celebrity Duets”?
“I did ‘Celebrity Duets’ for fun. I competed in that show as a football player and I had an enjoyable time. But I won’t be joining anything like it again soon,” aniya. — Inquirer
