GOOD day! I am Maria Fe Catis Sta. Teresa. My SSS number is …609-7 with CRN …769-1.
I applied for my retirement last December 14.
That’s more than a year after I turned 60.
Upon submitting the documents for retirement claims, I was told to come back after a month to check if my papers were in order.
I went back last February 14 (that’s two months later), but to my dismay, I was told that my claims were still pending.
I went back month after month to follow up until last August when I was told that it was rejected due to penalties unpaid dated 1998.
I was perplexed since my status was “voluntary.” Is it not a fact that penalties only cover employed members? The letter came from the SE/VM Section, Diliman Processing Center and it was dated April 20, 2013.
I received it together with another mail dated August 7, 2013 from SSS Zamboanga on August 28, 2013.
I was horrendously surprised by such delay and rejection. I went to SSS last September 4 and paid the said penalty of P48.00.
Upon logging it today on my.sss, I clicked the retirement claims and ththe response was “NO CLAIMS ON DATABASE.”
How was it possible when it has been almost a year since I filed my claims.
Please help me fasttrack my claims and I would be grateful for you immediate action on this matter.
Thank you and Mabuhay to action line!
Respectfully yours,
Maria Fe Catis Sta. Teresa
