FINALLY, nakamit na ng Pilipinas ang pinakaaasam na korona ng Miss Grand International!
Ang Pinay beauty queen at first-runner up ng nasabing kompetisyon na si CJ Opiaza na kasi ang magpapatuloy sa naiwang titulo ni Rachel Gupta matapos ang pormal na pagbibitiw sa trono kamakailan lang sa pamamagitan ng social media.
“Time tells all. The CROWN has found its QUEEN,” sey ng MGI sa isang Instagram post.
Nakabandera pa nga ang picture ni CJ na makikita sa background ang korona ng pageant at watawat ng Pilipinas.

Ang coronation event ay mangyayari sa MGI Hall sa Bravo BKK sa Bangkok, Thailand at mapapanood ito nang live sa GrandTV YouTube channel.

Ang nagkumpirma rin ng makasaysayang balita ay si MGI President Nawat Itsaragrisil sa pamamagitan ng isang video post kung saan sinabi niyang si CJ ang “right person and real queen.”
Siyempre, hindi rin nagpahuli ang Pinay beauty queen na ibandera sa IG ang magandang balita.
“Rising from the golden ashes is a Phoenix who is ready for a comeback to conquer the grandest heights,” bungad niya sa caption.
Wika pa niya, “I am Christine Juliane Opiaza, Miss Grand International 2024 from the Philippines.”

Bago si CJ, dalawang Pinay na rin ang muntik nang maiuwi ang titulo –sina Nicole Cordoves noong 2016 at Samantha Bernardo noong 2020, na kapwa nagtapos bilang first runner-up.
