DepEd hindi ipinagbabawal ang pagsusuot ng sablay, toga sa graduation
NAGLABAS ng pahayag ang Department of Education (DepEd) tungkol sa viral video ng principal na nagalit sa mga eatudyante sa graduation program sa isang paaralan sa Antique.
Makikita sa viral video na pinaghubad niya ang ilang mag-aaral ng isinuog nitong graduation toga.
Agad ngang nakarating sa pamunuan ng DepEd ang nangyari sa naturang graduation ceremony at nagsagawa ng imbestigasyon.

“Education Secretary Sonny Angara assures the public of DepEd’s continued commitment towards a speedy resolution,” saad sa pahayag.
Nilinaw rin ng ahensya na hindi naman nila ipinagbabawal ang pagsusuot ng toga sa mga estudyante.
“For clarification, DepEd policy does not prohibit the wearing of togas. There is no prohibition under DepEd Memorandum No. 27, s. 2025 and under DepEd Order No. 009, s. 2023, the prescribed attire for graduation and moving-up ceremonies includes casual or formal wear or the school uniform.The toga or sablay may be worn as an optional supplementary garment.
“DepEd reiterates its directive to all school officials to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, compassion, and respect in implementing policies, ensuring at all times the protection of the rights and dignity of every learner,” saad pa sa pahayag.
