Refund letter ng PVAO

DEAR Aksyon Line:

Greetings!

My late husband Delfin Y. Catalla has savings in the Philippine Veterans Bank.
As a surviving spouse, I want to withdraw this savings. The bank needs a refund letter from PVAO, which up to this writing hasnot yet given.

I hope you can facilitate the immediate issuance of this refund letter from PVAO.

Yours truly,
Flora F. Catalla

REPLY:

Dear Mrs. Catalla,
Our records show that your husband, veteran Delfin Catalla died on July 29, 2002 and PVAO has already sent a Letter of Refund (LOR) to his pension servicing banks.

Since more than a decade has now passed from our first issuance, it is nearly impossible to trace the LOR because the retention period for such document is just two years.

That being the case, the PVAO Finance Division will just reissue another LOR to Philippine Veterans Bank – Tacloban City to facilitate the refund to PVAO of any overpayment and consequently, the closure of subject account.

Since you are receiving monthly Old Age Pension from our agency as a veteran’s surviving spouse, we will appreciate it if you would communicate your concerns directly to us for more expedient and appropriate action.

You may call us at (02) 912-4526 (Office of the Administrator); 9124728 (Strategic Communications Section); 7094192 /
0917-6688072 (Finance Division).
Thank you very much and Godspeed!

Respectfully,
(SGD)
