Chika ni Javier, “I’ve been playing and singing as John Lennon for more than 20 years now. But I fell in love with The Beatles when I was 8 years old.”
“When I was 18, my friends told me that I look so much like John, and then when I was 20 years old, I put a band together with my friends,” patuloy niya.
Sey pa niya, “I think that was the first time that I started singing John Lennon songs with costumes and you know, the mannerisms.”
“Well, I’ve got many fans from the Philippines and I had received a message from a fan that is here and he said, ‘I like you to come to the Philippines.’ And I say, ‘wait, please contact my manager.’ Then, he contacted my manager and that was the idea why here we are,” kwento niya.
Sambit niya, “I’m really excited to meet the Filipino fans. Aside from the performance, this event also serves as a celebration of Lennon and The Beatles’ unparalleled legacy in utilizing music as an agent of social change.”
“It’s my honor to share this gift to the music lovers out there who want a piece of the past even just for a moment. I promise to entertain and not disappoint,” pangako pa niya.
“If you love it, you have to do it. You have to do what you want. It doesn’t matter if it’s music or whatever, you have to put passion, love, hardwork and responsibility, all those kinds of things,” masayang sabi ni Javier.
Dagdag niya, “I don’t believe in good luck or bad luck, I believe in hardwork and opportunity. So you have to be focused on what you love, that’s the most important thing.”
“And finally, you get it. Why? Because the people don’t get it, they abandon, they quit so they couldn’t get it. So whatever you want to do in your life, you get it,” aniya pa.
Ang Manila concert ni Javier ay pinamagatang “IMAGINE: The Beatles Legacy” na magsisimula sa July 15 sa Music Museum sa Sa Juan City.
