Carla Abellana at Tom Rodriguez
MUKHANG naka-move on na nga ang Kapuso actor na si Tom Rodriguez mula sa pagkawasak ng married life nila ni Carla Abellana.
Nasa Amerika pa rin ngayon si Tom kasama ang kanyang pamilya at baka matagalan pa bago siya bumalik ng bansa dahil may mga projects pa raw siyang gagawin doon.
Ilang buwan makalipas ang kontrobersyal na paghihiwalay nila ni Carla, nagsalita muli ang Kapuso actor tungkol sa estado ng buhay niya sa US bilang isang single man.
“I really miss performing and collaborating, not just with my peers and my predecessors, but also with the audience, the rapport.
“I’m okay and I really really appreciate the sentiments. I miss all of you guys right back so I can’t wait to see all of you again. Let’s collaborate, let’s work on something, all of us,” pahayag ni Tom sa panayam ng “24 Oras.”
Kasunod nga nito ang pagkumpirma niya na mananatili pa rin siya sa Amerika sa mga susunod na buwan para sa ilang bonggang proyekto.
“We got a few things lined up. I have been lucky enough to be a part of a series of shows. Hopefully, I can start plugging them soon,” sabi pa ni Tom na nagkaroon nga ng first public appearance bilang special judge sa Miss Philippines USA sa San Diego, California.
Matatandaang nagdesisyon si Tom na lisanin muna ang Pilipinas at lumipad patungo sa Amerika matapos pumutok ang hiwalayan nila ni Carla na talagang national issue pa dahil sa iba’t ibang rason na naglabasan about the breakup.
Aniya sa kanyang official statement, “I left the Philippines for the U.S. last March 13, with the realization that despite all my efforts, Carla had already given up on our marriage.
“A lot has been said against me but, in the end, Carla and I are the only two people who know the truth. I refuse to allow anyone, who only wants to use us and our brokenness, for news.
“It was not a perfect relationship, but we both know how much we loved each other,” ani Tom.
“I will no longer dwell on the reasons why our marriage fell apart. So many lies have been said of me which are completely untrue and utterly unfair.
“I may have fallen short as a partner, especially when I lost all my money to someone who preyed on my gullibility, but it must be stressed that at no time did I ever lay a hand on Carla.
“I have accepted her decision that it is time to move forward, independent from each other. I have to teach myself how to fall out of love from her.
“Now that the divorce decree is final, I truly wish Carla’s birthday wish be granted and that she finds the happiness she is searching for,” ang kabuuang mensahe ni Tom.
