Ginampanan niya sa kuwento ang karakter ni Greg na napasabak sa isang virtual relationship, “Nakaka-relate ako kasi parang nasaktan si Greg because he was in a long-distance relationship and his girlfriend cheated on him so na-trauma na siya sa long distance.
“Wala naman akong trauma sa long distance (relationship), I just don’t like it for my personal preference.
“Nakaka-relate naman ako sa pagka-hopeless romantic niya. Grabe si Greg magmahal. The way he expresses his love is so pure and so honest so it wasn’t hard relating to him at all,” pahayag ni Markus.
“Ang masasabi ko lang, sa lahat ng mga workshops na ginawa namin nung sobrang bata pa kami ni Heaven, like we did workshops when we were 16-17, all I can say is all those workshops really don’t prepare you when you’re standing in front of cameras and everybody depending on you to give a good performance for the first time.
“Kasi ang workshop it’s an intimate session in a room where sometimes there’s cameras and sometimes there’s not. But when you’re on a full set, it’s something else. That’s what I realized.
The amazing thing about it is the more work you do, I wouldn’t say it becomes easier but it becomes lighter for you because I would say technical ability becomes easier when you think about it from a technical standpoint.
“But you’re always going to be learning more about yourself with every project that you do,” pahayag pa ni Markus.
And it’s the learning experience. Because with each MMK it’s really awesome to learn the beautiful stories of these people that you are portraying. It’s very, very fun. Kahit sobrang mabigat and madaming iyakan scenes it’s very, very fun because you learn more about yourself as an actor.
“I think I’ve done four or five MMK episodes. The first three were very, very small roles as I was just joining the industry. And they still treated me amazing. I love MMK.
“My last MMK where I was lead was with Ms. Teresa (Loyzaga) it was such a fun learning experience. I hope sana in the future mas madami pa sanang opportunities from MMK,” sabi pa ni Markus.
We’re very mature about our jobs. It’s just work. We support each other.”
