FINALLY, naka-graduate na rin sa kolehiyo si Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez.
Pagkatapos nga niyang unahin at mag-focus sa pagtupad sa kanyang pangarap na maging beauty queen, kinarir na niya ang pagbalik sa pag-aaral para makuha naman ang pinakaaasam na college diploma.
Nitong nagdaang Biyernes, July 22, nagtapos na nga si Bea sa University of San Jose-Recoletos with Mass Communication degree at ginawaran pa ng Most Outstanding Graduate award.
Sa kanilang commencement exercises, sinabi ng Pinay beauty queen na sa wakas, bukod sa kanyang sash at crown bilang Miss Universe Philippines titleholder, nakapagsuot na rin siya ng toga with matching cap.
“I took the regular program hoping that I would finish my studies along with my batchmates but God had me take a different path.
“There were life lessons I had to learn first in order for me to value and earn where I am today. I was already in my last year of college when I had to leave school because of an opportunity that I had to take,” ang bahagi ni Bea sa kanyang speech bilang Most Outstanding Graduate.
Bukod sa kanyang pageant journey, kinarir din ni Beatrice ang public service kaya naisantabi muna ang kanyang pag-aaral.
Patuloy pa niya, “Had I ever been discouraged? Many times. It was a constant struggle because I only had more year left to finish college. It was like my degree was so close yet so far at hand.”
“Even as I was in that competition, I had that urge of wanting my degree done.
“So the moment I got back from that competition, I focused on what needs to be prioritized and now I am finally here with all of you,” aniya pa.
Sa kanyang Instagram page, nag-post din si Bea ng litrato na kuha sa kanilang school campus kasabay ng pagpapasalamat sa USJ-R na naging malaking bahagi ng kanyang pagkatao ngayon.
“This is where I learned to break barriers and empower lives. I owe most of my successes to the people who taught me the values that I needed in order to not just withstand but outstand life,” mensahe pa ni Bea.
“I plan to do my Master’s. I am taking up social psychology. I haven’t enrolled yet. I am not sure if the second semester has already started. So for the second half of the year, I’m gonna be enrolling,” dugtong pa ng dalaga
