Billy Crawford at Coleen Garcia

“I was addicted to alcohol, you know. My alcoholism was something else. I was going to Showtime drunk.

“Sometimes, kapag after ASAP, diretso bahay, inom. But it was a good time. To be honest with you, it was a great time,” pahayag ni Billy.

“Pero, it was starting to affect me as a person. It was starting to affect my judgement. It was starting to affect my work. It was starting to affect kung sino talaga ako,” aniya pa.

I guess the difference between Coleen kasi was she was never forceful. Parang ang reverse psychology ng ginawa nito. Parang binaliktad na lang, ‘You do whatever you want,’ parang ganu’n.

“Parang ako na yung, ‘I’m too tired. Ayaw ko nang uminom.’ I hate the feeling, hangover feeling after, the headaches, the restlessness, the fatigue, etcetera, etcetera.

“When you’re interviewing someone, you’re not really up there, di ba? So I said, that’s the first step, when I got arrested, when I went through the whole shebang here in the Philippines and other places in the world, etcetera,” kuwento ni Billy.

“When we tied the knot, kasi muntik naman talaga hindi matuloy yung wedding namin because we’re going through a lot that time.

“Nu’ng natuloy, I think that’s when God made a big visual premonition for me. Because, like I saw a happy family, I saw my dad and my mom get here which I prayed so hard for. And then that’s when I said, ‘Okay, I surrender.’

“Ako, wala na ako magagawa. It’s like you can’t force what God is doing upon us.

“We just have to accept it and we have to acknowledge that his presence is there and we have that faith that we call,” kuwento pa ni Billy.
