Nag-post siya ng ilang litrato sa IG na may caption na, “The thing that’s different about our last Negros Occidental trip was that it was not just some travel thing. It was really the people, too. It was also our kids, being with their friends. Or making new ones.
“And it also was the Philippines becoming alive to me all over again. How beautiful it is. How accessible it is by air, but also by land, by sea.
Iniibig ko ang Pilipinas. Tahanan ng aking lahi. Sabi ko nga, no matter how you feel about home, there will be nothing else like it,” aniya pa.
Sa isa pa niyang IG post, ibinahagi rin ng aktres ang isa sa nagustuhan niya sa buhay-probinsya, “The wind in @punong_garysplace is something else. It is like having your electric fan at a constant 5, with no other weaker fan spin options.
“Wind is amazing especially in a very hot country but it can be tiring to not have other options besides being blown away. Para kang may nilalabanan all day.
“Yesterday I said that many things that look big to us are actually just full of air and it also reminded me of a 41st bday thing I noted for myself: never chase after the wind,” mensahe pa ni Rica.
May hugot din siya sa mga kababayan nating mga senior citizen, “I see so many people, especially old people, highly anxious and tired and unable to enjoy the remaining years of their life because they continue to chase after the wind.
“On the other hand I see a handful of them just bask in the “glory” of of lola-hood, travel tours, and Sunday lunches, enjoying the generations before them.
“I’d like to take the path that lead toward the second option. It’s more… organic, natural, realistic, peaceful, and sustainable.
“Also, it reminds me of my place in the world. A dying, weakening creature, who knows the ultimate isn’t in the here and now yet,” pahayag pa ni Rica.
