Richard Gomez at Lucy Torres
Mike Defensor.
Narito ang nag-viral na pahayag ni Rep. Lucy na naka-address kay BBM, “The matter of presidency, it’s really an act of destiny. It’s one of those things that only God knows and only time will tell. And I would just like to say that if it’s in God’s plan for BBM to be our next president, may you be one of the best this country has ever had.
“I wish you well. I wish you every success. And like I said in the past, Senator BBM, you being the most vilified, perhaps, also because you are the most popular, for every curse a blessing.”
“I give you a concrete example, and I don’t know if BBM remembers this, but back when Yolanda happened, he was not part of the administration but one of the very first to help Ormoc was BBM and his family.
“And through Irene (Marcos-Araneta), BBM sent Ormoc clean water and a gadget from some foreign company for clean water…going to the different barangays demonstrating how that is used and then having access to clean water at a very crucial time, that’s one.”
Sabi pa nito, “If you really look at it, if you look at the dynamics, you had just lost an election. You didn’t make it back in 2016 but you were the first to be on the ground after the earthquake happened.
“You were with Congressman Martin (Romualdez) and Congressman Anton Lagdameo. They were both colleagues at that time. You don’t have to be there but you were there and you helped the community.
“I just want to say that more than what you say, more than what the plans are, what the grand plan is, it is really what you do on the battlefield as the battle rages on, the soldiers on the ground are suffering. So, I think that speaks more about a leader than all the nice words or all the nice plans.”
