Enchong ‘dedma’ pa rin sa P1 billion cyber libel case na isinampa ni Claudine Bautista

HANGGANG ngayon ay wala pa ring official statement ang Kapamilya actor na si Enchong Dee sa cyber libel case na isinampa laban sa kanya ni Party-list Rep. Claudine Bautista-Lim ng Drivers United for Mass Progress and Equal Rights (DUMPER).
Hinihintay pa rin ng madlang pipol kung ano ang magiging sagot ng aktor at businessman sa P1 billion cyber libel case na nag-ugat sa matapang niyang komento tungkol sa engrandeng kasal ng kongresista ilang linggo na ang nakararaan.
Ngunit ayon sa isa nating source, mukhang pinagbawalan muna si Enchong na sagutin ang nasabing isyu ng mga taong nangangalaga sa kanyang showbiz career habang pinag-aaralan pa ang isinampang kaso.
Humihingi ang kongresista ng P500,000,000 para sa “moral damages” at P500,000,000 para naman sa “exemplary damages.”
Nitong nakaraang Biyernes, inilabas ni Claudine Bautista ang kanyang opisyal na pahayag hinggil sa kanyang pagdedemanda, “On news reports regarding my filing of a cyber libel complaint against certain personalities, I would like to clarify that any legal action coming from us was instituted back in August of this year, upon my husband’s insistence and in response to the malicious allegations made against me at that time.
“While I would have preferred to be silent about this matter, my husband, like any good and loving family man, took it upon himself to seek redress from the legal system, to protect me and our family from baseless and damaging claims made against us.
“Despite initial reservations, he and his lawyers chose to pursue the case, not just because he and his family — who value their privacy and are focused on their businesses — were unfairly dragged into the whole issue, but also, or more so, because he saw the heavy toll that the attacks took on my health, particularly on my sensitive pregnancy,” aniya pa.
Dagdag pa nito, “The anxiety, anguish, humiliation and the impact on my and my family’s reputation left us no choice but to file cases against those responsible for causing us so much grief and worry, which almost led to me losing our baby, and which adversely affected some of our constituents’ trust in us.”
Narito naman ang kontrobersyal post ni Enchong sa Twitter tungkol sa kasal ni Claudine noong Aug. 14, 2021, “Drivers and Commuters Rep who voted NO to ABS-CBN franchise got married in a Michael Cinco gown in a lavish peony-filled ceremony in Balesin in the middle of a pandemic. How ostentatious. May vaccination drive ba sya for drivers and commuters.”

Matapos mabatikos dahil sa kanyang tweet, nag-issue rin naman ng public apology ang binata, “I have been reckless in the tweet I posted and I take full responsibility for my lapse in judgement.
“With deep regret, I would like to apologize to Congresswoman Claudine Bautista, her husband, their families, and the Dumper Partylist.
“I reacted based on impulse without thinking of the consequences nor the harm it may cause.
“I learned that as dutiful citizens, we must always fact-check our statements to avoid sensationalism and the spread of false news.
“I will take this opportunity to reflect on the wrong I have done and use this opportunity to better myself in being more discerning of my actions.”
Bukas pa rin ang BANDERA sa magiging opisyal na pahayag ni Enchong hinggil dito.
