“It’s a long answer. Honestly it’s diet and nonstop working out. But I’m catfishing you guys, that photo was taken long, long way back early this year before I got COVID, before I got fat again. Ha-hahaha!

“But I’m working on it again. I’m getting abs again. It’s not easy. With six to eight months of me nonstop working out and I’m dieting nu’ng time na yun. Until now, salmon lang or chicken breast ang kinakain ko. High protein, low carbs.

“Trial and error kasi ang working out. But the advice I could give you, it could not work for you but it does work for me. But more or less, yun na rin yun.

“As much as possible, be in a calorie deficit which means you eat less than what you need in a day. That’s when you start losing fat. You don’t do a lot of cardio, it’s actually lifting weights that make you built and look good, the aesthetic.

“But if you’re into cardio then it won’t be as big with muscles, you’ll be kind of skinny kapag puro cardio ka. So yun lang yun, it’s diet and working out. That’s it,” tuluy-tuloy na pahayag ni Diego.

“What I can say to the generation younger than me who experienced the same thing that I once did, well first I was lucky because I was given a second chance by the universe, by God, whatever you want to put that. And of course by Viva, by boss Vic (del Rosario) so I was given an opportunity there, you known to show my worth again.

“But prior to all that, it came from within myself. It was a process, a very long one. And I had to forgive myself for a lot of things and to realize the potential I also had and the opportunities I was missing.

“I think everyone naman goes through some phase like this, lalung-lalo na ngayon pandemic. Life has changed, it’s difficult nowadays. Left and right people that you know, or friends of friends, you see them passing away. It’s saddening, it’s depressing because of the anxiety,” lahad ng boyfriend ni Barbie Imperial.

“I guess the best advice I could give is only the strong survive, so stay strong, as hard as it is, trying to find that strength within you. If you’re religious or if not, you can get it spiritually from talking to whoever in your support group, talking to your friends and family.

“That’s what helped me and I guess yung silver lining quote is very generic but for every cloud there’s always a silver lining so it doesn’t matter how but there’s a rainbow after the rain.

“There’s always quotes like that because it’s true. Tough times don’t last, tough people do. I don’t know if what I said was very inspirational. Sometimes it sucks, sometimes you don’t always get the things that you want, life isn’t always easy. That’s the real stuff.

“But things always do get better. Things always will get better and you just have to learn to live with the positive in every situation, whether negative or positive. Whether it comes out the way you want it or not, you always have to be happy. Find happiness somewhere,” pahayag pa niya.
