PAGKATAPOS umamin ni Maris Racal sa relasyon nila ni Rico Blanco ay heto’t inamin na rin ng Rivermaya frontman ang tungkol sa kanila ng dalaga.
Hindi inalintana ng celebrity couple ang kanilang 25 years age gap at wala rin silang nakikitang dahilan para hindi ito ituloy lalo’t marami silang pinagkakasunduan lalo na sa musika.
Sabi nga ni Rico, “We’re not bothered.”
Dagdag pa niya, “Sa social, non-music world, the bigger thing for them is the relationship. That always fascinates people, when two people they know are in a relationship.
“But Maris has been writing songs even before she met me, and she has great songs. I’m careful about that,” sabi ni Rico sa panayam ng MYX.
Bago pa naging magkarelasyon ay nagkatrabaho na sila dahil tinulungan ni Rico si Maris sa pagpo-produce ng single nitong “Abot Langit” na ni-release noong Mayo, 2019 pa.
“I did help out. Nakaporma na ‘yung kanta. Tumulong ako sa second verse and the arrangement. We worked together to sharpen. It was a collaboration, but nauna siya, ginawa niya na ‘yun. Pag ganoon, I want people to know, siya ‘yan. Idea niya ‘yan,” kuwento nito.
Kasama na si Maris sa mga artist ng Balcony Entertainment na pag-aari ni Rico. Ang iba ay sina Ebe Dancel, Zild at Top Suzara.
Ano naman ang naging partisipasyon ng boyfriend ng dalaga sa single na “Ate Sandali”?
“I give my artists this opportunity where I’m listening to their ideas, and I try to make them happen to the best of my abilities. If I think that’s not optimal.
“Maybe this would be a better way to spend our energy and our resources.’ I’ll suggest, and I’ll discuss why I think mas okay ito. I’m hands-on sa lahat ng projects sa Balcony Entertainment,” sabi ng singer.
Binanggit din ni Rico na hiwalay ang personal nilang relasyon sa propesyonal.
“Kay Maris, we’re in a relationship, but when it’s music, when it’s art, we talk sa level na ganoon. We’re always excited. It’s a great thing to have, when you work with the people you love. That’s a blessing,” dagdag pa niya.
Samantala, nominado si Rico sa gaganaping MYX Awards 2021 sa Martes, Hulyo 13 sa Collaboration of the Year kasama si Julie Anne San Jose para sa music video na “Isang Gabi.”
