PAGDUDUDA ang sumalubong sa pagsuko ng negosyanteng si Janet Lim-Napoles kay Pangulong Aquino kung saan ilang grupo at indibidwal ang naniniwala na ang ginawa ng itinuturong utak sa P10 bilyon pork barrel scam ay “scipted” lamang.
Kinuwestiyon din ng mga netizens ang ginawa ni Aquino na ineskortan pa si Napoles, isang puganteng may patong na P10 milyon sa ulo, patungo sa Camp Crame.
“Noy himself escorted a fugitive. Special? Is that right? The Napoles teleserye is unfolding. Napoles is a crook, she should be treated in a humane way. But special? Hmmmm…,” hirit ni Mae Paner, mas kilala bilang Juana Change, sa kanyang post sa Facebook.
“Be vigilant, mga ka-patid. Implement transparency and accountability. Deals? Or no deals? FOI na!,” dagdag niya. Marami rin ang nag-tweet na hindi makapaniwalang sasamahan ni Aquino si Napoles sa pagsuko nito sa pulisya.
“OK, news have it that there’ll be no special treatment for her, but the President himself escorted her to Crame. What the heck!” ayon sa Twitter user na si @itsmetolits.
Ipinunto naman ni Manuel Mejorada, na may Twitter account na @boymejo, na may panahon si Aquino kay Napoles pero hindi ito mahagilap noong mga unang araw ng bagyo noong isang linggo.
“High value suspect kasi si Napoles. Handle with care. Pero noong baha, hindi nagpakita si P-Noy,” paliwanag niya. Inilarawan naman ng militanteng grupo na Akbayan na ang pagsuo ni Napoles ay isang “poorly-written, telenovela-inspired script” upang malihis ang publiko sa totoong isyu ukol sa pagbuwag sa pork barrel.
Naniniwala ang grupo na mayroong nabuong usapan si Napoles at ang Malacanang upang huwag madamay ang mga kaalyado ng pangulo sa mga ibubulgar ni Napoles.
“The question must also be asked: Is there a cover-up deal between Noynoy and Napoles to exclude Palace and allies from pork barrel scam?
We should not be surprised if Napoles’ scripted surrender results in whitewash of the evidence against administration allies implicated in the pork barrel scam,” ayon sa grupo.
Naniniwala naman si Renato Reyes ng Bagong Alyansang Makabayan na ang bagong kaganapan ay “pampapogi” kay Aquino.
“It’s hard not to see the carefully orchestrated dramatic surrender to Aquino and the turn over to [Interior Secretary Mar] Roxas and the PNP,” ani Reyes.
“Seemed calculated to make the President look good even if he refuses to scrap the pork barrel system,” dagdag niya. Sinabi niya na dapat isiwalat ang “terms of surrender,” at kung mayroon ngang “deal” na napag-usapan.
“The people must demand answers now lest political ‘consideration’ and posturing, not true accountability, dictate the situation,” aniya.
Sinabi rin ni Kabataan party list Rep. Terry Ridon na dapat maging mapagmatyag ang publiko dahil baka ang lahat ng ito ay “moro-moro” lamang.
“The surrender seems among the ‘calculated tactics’ of the Palace to defeat the public outrage and deflect the increasing pressure on the President to give up his own pork,” hirit ni Ridon.
Aniya pa dapat ay isiwalat ni Napoles ang lahat ng mga sangkot sa anomalya. “The public should not rest easy yet. The surrender of Janet Napoles should not deter the public from stepping up the call for the abolition of the pork barrel system, particularly presidential pork,” sabi niya.
Walang VIP treatment
Todo-tanggi naman ang Malacanang sa mga alegasyon na binigyan ng special treatment si Napoles dahil sinamahan pa ito ni Aquino nang magtungo sa pulisya.
Ayon kay Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda, na tumulong sa pagsuko ni Naples, kahit sino ay pwede ring sumurender kay Aquino.
“Kung gusto po nila, bakit hindi?” ani Lacierda nang tanungin kung ang ibang pugante ay puwede ring sumuko sa pangulo.
Ipinaliwanag niya na nagdesisyon si Aquino na samahan si Napoles sa Camp Crame dahil gabi na. “Sabi niya (Aquino), tutal puyat na tayo, damay-damay na,” dagdag ni Lacierda.
Dinala si Napoles sa Malacanang alas-9:37 ng gabi Miyerkules. Si Lacierda mismo ang tumawag sa abogado ni Napoles na si Lorna Kapunan alas-12:37 ng hapon makaraang lumabas ang ulat na balak sumuko ng kanyang kliyente.
Makaraan ang apat na oras ay tumawag naman sa kanya si Kapunan at sinabing susuko kay Aquino si Napoles. Sinundo si Napoles pasado alas-6 ng gabi sa Heritage Park at idiniretso sa Palasyo.
Napoles kulong sa Makati Jail
Ipinag-utos naman ng Makati Regional Trial Court ang detensyon ni Napoles sa Makati City Jail. Sa isang pahinang utos, sinabi ni Judge Elmo Alameda ng Makati RTC Branch 150 na dapat ilagay sa kostudiya ng Bureau of Jail Management and Penology sa Makati City si Napoles na nahaharap sa kasong serious illegal detention makaraan niya umanong ikulong ang kanyang empleyado na si Benhur Luy.
“I hereby commit to you this person of accused Janet Lim-Napoles who is charged with serious illegal detention under Article 267 of the Revised Penal Code under the information filed by Senior Deputy State Prosecutor Theodore M. Villanueva which was admitted by this court on August 14, 2013, and to be kept under your custody until further orders from this court,” ani Alameda.
Subalit sinabi ni Diosfa Valencia, ang branch clerk of court, na maaari namang humiling ang kampo ni Napoles na ilipat siya ng kulungan,
“We welcome requests for transfer or to retain her at the Camp Crame if there is indeed a security concern. But as of now, the court orders her transfer to Makati City Jail,” dagdag ni Valencia.
Itinakda ng korte ang arraignment ni Napoles ala-1:30 ng hapon sa setyembre 9.
Itutumba sa selda
Upang hindi mapatay sa loob ng selda, dapat daw ibukod ng kulungan si Napoles. Ayon kay Akbayan Rep. Walden Bello, dapat ay lagyan ng matinding bantay si Napoles para matiyak na hindi ito mapapatahimik.
“Dapat diretso sa kulungan though to make sure that she is not eliminated by her accomplices in the House and Senate, she should be placed in a separate cell in the jail and put under heavy guard,” ani Bello sa text message.
Kay Napoles
Natatakot naman si Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco sa posibleng pagpili umano ng “kakantahin” ni Napoles. Ayon kay Tiangco, maaaring piliin lamang ni Napoles kung sino ang kanyang mga idadawit sa pork barrel scam na nagbibigay-daan upang ang mga kalaban lamang ng Malacanang ang madiin.
“Everyone knows that the stink of swine crap coming from the PDAF mess has reached Malacanang. Making Napoles as state witness may be seen as part of the strategy to divert the issue away from the allies of President Aquino, and many fear that the witch hunt may expand selectively to political enemies of the administration,” ani Tiangco.
