Kaya naman ngayong 2021, excited na sina Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki at Nate sa mga naka-line up nilang projects bilang grupo matapos nga ang halos two years na training (with Filipino and South Korean coaches) na siguradong ikatutuwa ng milyun-milyon nilang fans all over the universe.
We’re working hard for that. There’s actually a plan to translate our debut song ‘The Light’ into different languages and for sure there will be more videos and more content to produce for other markets to enjoy not just for Filipinos.
“As a group we really want to create an impact on the world with our music so hopefully everybody can stay with us and support us.
“For us I think the most challenging part of our training is the time na hindi namin kasama yung parents and families namin because during the pandemic when it started we were all together in one house and we used that time to practice more and improve more as a group.
“Siguro since challenging yung times ngayon kailangan lahat virtual, we will promise na magiging active kami on social media parati and we will do our best para bigyan kayo ng surprises every time na mag-pe-perform kami,” lahad ni Gelo.
“First of all, yes we’re single. Falling in love with a fan puwede, why not? Kaya malalaman natin in the near future,” sagot ni Akira.
Sabi naman ni Nate, may dalawang Korean performers na type na type niya, “I really admire Red Velvet’s Irene and IU. If I were to fall in love with a fan well I’ll leave it to fate.”
Sey ni Gelo, “Yes I’m single and my celebrity crush is Jihyo from Twice. Hindi ko lang siya nagustuhan dahil maganda siya pero gusto ko lahat nung qualities niya as a K-pop idol. Matagal naman ako napamahal sa lahat ng sumusuporta sa amin pero why not, love is love naman and wala namang pinipili ang mahal mo.”
Wala rin daw dyowa ngayon ang Filpino-Chinese na si Mikki, “And I’ve been a follower of BLACKPINK and I really like Jenny. When it comes to falling in love with fans, I think I have to say that you don’t know really what’s in the future so maybe there’s a possibility na I’ll fall in love with a fan too. You never know talaga.”
Be The Light,” which streamed live on KTX.ph. The event concluded with the simultaneous release of the music video across ABS-CBN’s online platforms.
“Within you lies immense power. Your light can change the world,” ang sabi sa opening line ng video, which depicts members JL, Mikki, Gelo, Akira and Nate overcoming dark situations.
The track about “empowerment, hope, and self-love” was co-written by the members with Distract, and was composed and arranged by Rogan and Ddank.
Directed by Kring Kim, “The Light’s” music video introduces BGYO to an international audience, with translations of single in select languages to follow.
