17 pang isolation facilities, natapos na sa Eastern Visayas

Nakumpleto na ang konstrukyon ng 17 pang quarantine facilities sa Eastern Visayas, ayon sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Dahil dito, umabot na sa 800 ang COVID-19 bed capacity sa nasabing rehiyon.

Ayon kay DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, batay sa report mula sa DPWH Regional Office 8, dalawang pasilidad ang nakumpleto noong buwan ng September, 10 noong August, at lima noong July.

Isa pang pasilidad ang ginagawa pa at inaasahang matatapos bago matapos ang buwan ng September.

Kabilang sa mga natapos na COVID-19 facilities ay nasa Barangays Salvacion, Abucay, at Cabalawan sa Tacloban City; Sacred Heart Seminary sa Barangay Salvacion, Palo, Leyte; at Barangay Trinidad, Calbayog City.

Nagkaroon din ng pasilidad sa Samar Provincial Hospital sa Barangay Guindapunan, Catbalogan City; Barangay Songco, Borongan City, Eastern Samar; Northern Samar Provincial Hospital sa Catarman Northern Samar; Barangays Macabug at Dolores sa Ormoc City; at Barangays Agpangi at Larrazabal sa Naval, Biliran.

“One more facility located in the town of Dagami, Leyte is on-going and is targeted to be finished this month. DPWH Regional Office 8 is also in close coordination with local government units and the Department of Health (DOH) to ensure enough number of hospital bed facilities in the region which has a total of 1,057 active cases as of September 10, 2020,” pahayag ni Villar.
