In a private chat with a group of reporter friends, pinag-usapan ang yummy reply ni Derrick.
“Bad ba o may malice ‘pag ang isang lalaki, yummy ang choice of word na ginamit to describe another guy.
“’Pag lalaki ba bawal na tawaging yummy ang isang lalaking bisexual? Mark posted the photo na nakahubad siya sa IG. Tapos yummy po ang reaksyon ni Derrick,” asked one now-sexy writer friend.
“Parang ‘di appropriate for a guy to use the word yummy to describe another person’s physique.
“I would understand kung babae o bading ang mag-comment ng yummy,” came one veteran writer’s reply.
“Baka magkaibigan sila at palaging naglolokohan. Kaya kaswal lang siguro ‘yung word na yummy… nagbibiro lang siguro si Derrick,” said a female veteran writer.
Was it Derrick’s subliminal outing?
Hindi naman siguro. Wala naman yata siyang bahid ng kabadingan. He is not known in the industry as someone who gender-bends. Hunk na hunk naman siya and he’s a metro man. We don’t think there’s malice in his “yummy” comment. Nothing more is there to it than that, just a comment.
Siguro, that adjective is what he thought that would aptly describe Mark.
