DPWH nagsagawa ng final inspection sa huling bahagi ng TPLEX

NAGSAGAWA ng final inspection si Public Works and Highways Sec. Mark Villar kanina bago buksan ang huling bahagi ng Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) na mula Pozorrubio, Pangasinan hanggang Rosario, La Union section.

Binagtas nina Villar, mga opisyal ng DPWH at concessionaire na Private Infra Development Corporation (PDIC) ang 88.95 kilometrong expressway upang masiguro na handa na itong buksan.

“By July 15, motorists will be able to experience what we have experienced today – driving from Tarlac all the way to La Union for only two and a half hours, saving at least an hour of travel time,” ani Villar.

“This last 11-kilometer section will also further shorten travel time of motorists heading to other parts or Ilocos Region and the Cordilleras, especially Baguio City.”

Sa pagtatapos ng huling bahagi, siyam na ang exit points ng expressway: La Paz sa Tarlac City, Victoria, Gerona, Paniqui at Moncada sa Tarlac; Rosales, Urdaneta City at Pozzorrubio sa Pangasinan, at Rosario sa La Union.

Ang TPLEX ay P24-Billion Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Project ng DPWH at San Miguel Corporation’s Private Infra Development Corporation. Sinimulan ito noong 2010.
