PATULOY na binabantayan ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology ang Bulkang Kanlaon matapos ang serye ng paglindol dito.
Ang Kanlaon ay nasa Negros island.
“This began at 4:03 pm 21 June with the largest registering at M4.7 at 1:15 am today and was felt at Intensity V at La Carlota City,” saad ng Phivolcs.
Ang epicenter ng magnitude 4.7 ay 16 kilometro sa silangan ng La Carlota City, Negros Occidental. May lalim itong siyam na kilometro.
Naramdaman ang Intensity V sa La Carlota City. Intensity III naman sa Bago City, Negros Occidental, Intensity II sa Sipalay City, Negros Occidental at Intensity I sa Iloilo City.
“As of this time, a total of 81 events have been recorded. DOST-PHIVOLCS would like to assure the public especially the local communities surrounding Kanlaon that we are keeping close watch of the condition of the volcano and shall inform all concerned immediately should there be any further developments.”
