SINABI ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque na nirerespeto ng Palasyo ang desisyon ng Office of the Ombudsman na imbestigahan si Health Secretary Francisco Duque III at iba pang opisyal ng DOH kaugnay ng umano’y iregularidad sa paggamit ng pondo kontra coronavirus diseases (COVID-19).
“We respect the decision of the Office of the Ombudsman (OMB) to probe Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III and other health officials over the alleged irregularities in the COVID-19 response,” sabi ni Roque.
Idinagdag ni Roque na hiwalay na constitutional body ang Ombudsman.
“We will let the process run its course as we enjoin Secretary Duque and the entire DOH bureaucracy to cooperate with the investigation and respect the orders of the OMB,” dagdag ni Roque.
