INAASAHAN ang pagdami ng trabaho sa business process outsourcing (BPO) ng bansa.
Ayon kay Labor Sec. Silvestre Bello III maraming bansa sa kanluran ang mangangailangan ng BP) service matapos ang coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.
“We received information that some big companies have already given notice for their requirements, one of which needing at least 4,000 seats to be filled up before September,” ani Bello.
Nakipagpulong si Bello sa mga opisyal ng IT-BPO industry.
Ayon kay Rey Untal, president at chief executive officer ng IT Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), patuloy ang pangangailangan na punan ang mga posisyon sa kanilang industriya.
“The industry indeed continues to hire (despite the pandemic),” ani Untal sa pahayag na inilabas ng DOLE.
Ang pagpupulong ay isinagawa matapos ang online survey sa mga empleyado ng BPO kung saan lumabas na apat sa 10 BPO employees ang floating o ‘no-work-no-pay’ status noong lockdown.
Ayon kay Untal nakikipag-ugnayan na ang kanyang grupo sa kompanya ng mga BPO employees na ito.
Iginiit ng DOLE na mahalaga na mapangalagaan ang kanilang mga empleyado at maiwasan ang pagtanggal sa mga ito.
