TARGET ng Department of Transportation (DoTr) at Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) na matapos ngayong taon ang 22 proyekto sa iba’t ibang pantalan sa bansa.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng DoTr na natapos na ang 14 proyekto na naka-schedule ngayong taon.
“Fortunately, with the DOTr’s and PPA’s immediate enforcement and implementation of safety and health measures, the projects have been completed without any COVID-19 casualty,” saad ng pahayag.
Natapos ang mga proyekto sa Port of Borac sa Coron, Palawan; Port of Cawit, Boac, Marinduque; Port of Estancia, Iloilo; Port of Iligan sa Iligan City, Lanao Del Norte; Port of Jagna sa Bohol; Port of Mansalay sa Oriental Mindoro; Port of Ozamiz sa Misamis Occidental; Port of San Fernando sa El Nido, Palawan; Port of Tagbilaran sa Bohol; Port of Malalag sa Davao Del Sur; Port of Currimao sa Ilocos Sur; Port of Masao sa Agusan del Norte at dalawang proyekto sa Iloilo Commercial Port Complex.
“Once finally operational, these projects are expected to bolster the operational capability of ports, specifically with the upcoming resumption of inter-island travel and movement of essential goods.”
Ang 22 proyekto na tatapusin ngayong taon ay ang Pier 18 Rehabilitation and upgrade sa Vitas, Tondo, Manila; Port Operations Building ng Abra de Ilog sa Occidental Mindoro; Balanacan Port Expansion Project sa Marinduque; RC Pier and Ro-Ro ramp sa Port of Bansud sa Oriental Mindoro; back-up area ng Port of Bulalacao sa Oriental Mindoro; Ro-Ro ramp at expansion project sa Port of Bulan sa Sorsogon; Coastal Access Road project sa Port of Calapan; port expansion project sa Port of Capinpin; Carmen Port sa San Agustin, Romblon; at Cobo Port Construction Project sa Cobo, Catanduanes.
Port Operations Buildings sa Ports of Coron, Currimao, Masbate, at Mauban sa Quezon, at Talaga, Mabini, Batangas; port rehabilitation and upgrading ng RC wharf sa Port of Legazpi; port expansion projects sa Matnog, Puerto Princesa sa Palawan, Salomague sa Ilocos Sur, Tablas sa Romblon, at TMO Pasig; at rehabilitasyon ng Port of Tabaco sa Albay.
