“We expect involvement in the vaccine clinical trials by the last quarter of 2020 with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) taking a lead role,” sabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.
Idinagdag ni Roque na inatasan ang DOST na makipagtulungan sa Department of Health, World Health Organization at Food and Drug Administration Philippines para sa panuntunan, mga lugar at mga dalubhasang Pinoy na lalahok sa mga isasagawang vaccine clinical trials.
“The President wants to save the life of each and every Filipino and thus places great interest to these clinical trials,” ayon pa kay Roque.
“The President will review the recommendations of DOST to establish the Pharmaceutical Development Center and the Virology Science and Technology Institute of the Philippines, which have already been approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) last Friday, May 22,” dagdag ni Roque.
“We understand that the DOST has included the establishment of the aforesaid research centers in its 2021 Budget Proposal,” sabi pa ni Roque.
