“Gen. Sinas is taking a page out of Duterte’s fascist playbook in this retaliatory move of removing a Rappler reporter from the media list of NCRPO. This government and its minions’ aversion to truthful and fearless reporting is undeniable, and it is really contemptible. Again, they are sending a message to the media, that reporting something they do not like could get you in their crosshairs,” ani Gaite.
“It shouldn’t be truth-tellers that need to be sanctioned here but Gen. Sinas. He’s the one who should be made to leave. Against clear, well-documented violations, Sinas keeps on lying through his teeth and denying. All the photos which his own office posted attest to that. Sinas has shown no delicadeza for having that self-aggrandizing party, and he’s still not showing any as he continue to publicly defend his violations and cling to his position.”
“If Sinas does not want to voluntarily resign, then he must be sacked. We have ordinary people getting arrested, unjustly humiliated publicly, and getting thrown in jail for merely criticizing the government, a lawlful exercise of their freedom of speech, but Sinas gets away with his clear infractions.
