“The video released by the Mr. Parra immediately put the police in a negative light. It was fortunate that there was another video taken before the arrest, which showed the policeman in a calm demeanor,” ani Biazon.
“Just saw a video taken before the attempted arrest. The two videos provide context of the entire incident. Watch both, not just one. Nevertheless, authorities should take action to ease tension out there in the field,” ani Biazon.
“It will now be up to the judicial process to determine if the police was justified in its actions. Based on the videos I have seen, the policeman acted with due courtesy at the beginning while the resident exhibited behavior which was aggressive toward the law enforcer.”
“He should have listened to his wife…instead, he kept shoving her aside and even tells her “get out of here!” Red flag there.”
“Having bodycams during operations will ensure that the true account of events will be documented,” saad ng solon. “This emphasizes the need for the adoption of a policy mandating the use of bodycameras by law enforcers not just for the protection of citizens but of the law enforcers themselves.”
