SINABI ni Presidential Spokesperson at Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo na nagdesisyon si Pangulong Duterte na mag-self-quarantine sa kanyang kaarawan bukas kung saan magdiriwang siya ng kanyang ika-75 birthday.
“PRRD (Presidente Duterte) will self-quarantine himself on his birthday tomorrow following the advice of the PSG (Presidential Security Group) as well as doctors for his protection following his exposure to some officials who themselves have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 victim,” sabi ni Duterte.
Mananatili si Duterte si Bahay Pangarap sa kanyang self-quarantine na tatagal hanggang Abril 7.
“He will continue with his work while on quarantine. His only birthday wish is for our countrymen to stay home and the total eradication of the corona virus,” dagdag ni Panel
Kabilang sa mga nakasalamuhang opisyal ni Duterte ay sina Senator Christopher ‘Bong’ Go at Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea na kapwa nakasalamuha si ACT-CIS Rep. Eric Go Yap, na nagpositibo sa COVID-19.
