MAAARI umanong gamitin ang mga medical interns at bayaran din ang mga ito sa kanilang serbisyo.
Ayon kay Quezon City Rep. Alfred Vargas malaki ang maitutulong ng mga intern sa paglaban ng gobyerno sa coronavirus disease 2019.
“I propose that at this time of crisis, our interns be given commensurate benefits and that they be assigned reasonable work hours. In addition, they should receive allowances for travel, food, and other expenses—acquire medical, dental, and mental health benefits, and have access to basic services in the workplace,” ani Vargas.
Bago pa ang coronavirus disease ay naghain ng panukala si Vargas upang maproteksyunan ang mga interns at kahit na papaano ay mabayaran ang kanilang pagtatrabaho.
“Earning relevant work experience is crucial to anyone aspiring to enter the labor force. It is thus imperative for the country to prepare and protect these interns and the service they provide by making sure that they are entitled to just compensation as well as ensuring their safety and welfare throughout the internship,” ani Vargas.
