SINABI ng Department lof Health (DOH) na isang 40-anyos na Hapones na sinasabing bumiyahe ng Pilipinas ang nagpositibo sa 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) sa harap naman ng naunang ulat ng mga banyagang nanggaling sa bansa na tinamaan ng virus.
Sa isang panayam sa CNN Philippines, sinabi ni Health Assistant Maria Rosario Vergeire na patuloy na bineberipika ng DOH ang ulat.
“There was this report from yesterday that there was this Japanese man, apparently in his 40s, that tested positive (for COVID-19) that has visited the Philippines. Information is being completed as we speak,” sabi ni Vergeire.
Nitong Huwebes, dalawang banyaga, isang 60-anyos na babae sa Australia at 30-anyos na Taiwanese — na umano’y naggaling sa Pilipinas, ang nagpositibo sa COVID-19.
Iginiit naman ni Vergeire na wala pang kumpletong impormasyon ang DOH kaugnay ng mga banyagang nagpositibo sa COVID-19 na umano’y nahawa matapos na bumiyahe sa Pilipinas.
“For now, as soon as we got the information yesterday, we started coordinating with the ministries of health of these specific nations. For now, we have we started with what he have now to do tracing and to do investigation,” dagdag ni Vergeire.
Base sa datos ng DOH, tao pa lamang ang nagpositibo sa deadly virus at pawang mga Tsino.
