Ano ang pagkakapareho ni Kris at ng ‘Probinsyano’ ni Coco?

WHAT do Kris Aquino and FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano have in common?

The likely answer would be: naiinis tayo (at least for some) sa kanila but we love watching them.

Ang kaibahan nga lang, iba ang pinaghuhugutan ng inis.

With Kris, we get pissed off by her automatic I-me-myself inclusion in whatever topic she discusses with her guest kahit hindi naman kailangan. With Coco Martin’s teleserye, it’s the never-ending exploits and misadventures faced by Cardo Dalisay tulad ng isang pigsa na nanganganak nang nanganganak.

Balitang makaraan ang mahabang panahon, AP will soon bid goodbye, while Kris long before bade farewell on mainstream TV.

One commonality, too—sa aminin man natin o hindi—there’s that factor brought about by Kris’ absence kung paanong the same feeling din ang magiging hatid ng pamamaalam ng FPJ’s AP.

Magbabago siyempre ang viewing habits ng mga masugid na tumutok sa AP since day one ng mga taong nabibitin pero nae-excite sa tuwing matatapos na ang Biyernes, the very same people who would want to be present during brainstorming sessions to air their complaints about its plot, and yes, including how impossibly invincible Cardo can be!

Sa nalalapit na pagbabu sa ere ng AP, it’s the same feeling we all have for Kris. Mami-miss din ito ng marami short of lobbying for its return o at least another Coco Martin teleserye of the same genre.

But reality bites. Nothing is ever permanent.

AP had more than just a good run. Outside of its creative aspect, naging commitment na rin nito ang pagtulong sa mga taga-industriyang walang trabaho, whose existence ay tila nakalimutan na or whose talent ay maaaring kinalawang na rin.

Hindi man kami regular viewer ng AP (but our neighbors), mag-iiwan ng malaking dent ang pagkawala nito in the months to come.

Hindi man ang AP per se, Coco will sure spring back. Sa rami ng mga FPJ classic materials, he can slip into one of those characters.
