MULA pala noong pumanaw ang kanyang manager (si Tita Angge) first quarter of 2017 ay self-managed si Lotlot de Leon, relying on showbiz friends who may come to her for possible job opportunities.
Three years later, which is the present time, Lotlot felt the need to find some willing manager out there. Aniya, gusto niyang mas maging seryoso sa kanyang trabaho.
Time was when she had reached the tipping point na gusto na niyang talikuran ang showbiz, but she realized she had yet to surpass her own achievements na aniya’y hindi pa sapat.
Finally, her search of a manager is over. Nasa kuwarda na si Lotlot ni Leo Dominguez who, back in the 90s, was behind the then-budding career of Ogie Alcasid, both as a singer and as a composer.
Leo is also the manager of Lotlot’s daughter Janine.
Ewan, but there’s something about the mother na nakakagaangan ng loob. Iilan lang ang mga tulad ni Lotlot who shies away from showbiz intrigues. Likas na mabait na bata even a long time ago.
Siya ‘yung tipo who can easily take to social media whatever goings-on there are that surround her life pero tahimik lang siya.
Kung nauso siguro ang social media at a time she married Ramon Christopher until they drifted apart, she would not have been a slave to the world’s fastest communication means. Malayo sa maraming celebrities who may be public figures, yes, pero hindi naman dapat maging pag-aari na ng publiko that they owe their lives to the public.
Noong kainitan ng panandaliang sagutan ni Janine versus Lolit Solis, namagitan si Lotlot sa paraang dala-dala pa rin niya ang respeto para sa nakatatandang manager.
While she praised her daughter Janine, Lotlot never took a swipe at Lolit. Du’n pa lang, it very well speaks about the kind of person she is.
Admittedly, we are a silent rah-rah person behind Lotlot whose career now with a newfound manager we wish well.
