TINIYAK ngayong gabi ni Pangulong Duterte na wala namang dapat ikatakot ang mga Pinoy sa harap ng banta ng novel coronavirus.
“Let’s start with the narratives by saying that everything is well in the country. There is nothing really to be extra scared of that coronavirus thing although it has affected a lot of countries but in… You know one or two in any country is not really that fearsome,” sabi ni Duterte sa isang press conference.
Nagpatawag si Duterte ng emergency meeting sa Malacanang para talakayin ang nCoV sa harap naman ng patuloy na pagkalat nito sa buong mundo at maitala ang unang kaso ng pagkamatay ng isang nagpositibo sa virus sa labas ng China.
“It’s imported. Hindi galing dito. It was not a native of the Philippines but rather it was an imported one and the person involved was a Chinese,” ayon pa kay Duterte.
