INATASAN ni Presidential Security Group Commander BGen Jose Eriel Niembra ang lahat ng miyembro ng PSG na magsuot ng face mask para matiyak ang kanilang kaligtasan sa harap ng patuloy na banta ng novel coronavirus sa bansa.
“As the Department of Health confirmed the 2019 Novel Coronavirus case in the country; Commander, PSG BGEN JOSE ERIEL M NIEMBRA AFP has directed PSG personnel to wear masks as precautionary measure,” ayon sa abiso ng PSG.
Wala pa namang kumpirmasyon sa Palasyo kung magsusuot si Pangulong Duterte ng face mask kasama ng mga presidential guards.
Kasabay nito, inihayag ng PSG na inirekomenda nito ang suspensyon sa pagtu-tour sa museum sa Palasyo.
“This is a preemptive measure to ensure that the seat of government is secured from this biological threat,” dagdag ng PSG.
Nauna nang kinumpirma ng Department of Health (DOH) ang unang kaso ng nCoV sa bansa matapos magpositibo ang isang 38-anyos mula sa Wuhan, China.
Ginagamot ang babaeng Tsinoy sa San Lazaro Hospital sa Maynila.
